Mutley96 goes off with its new owner

Mutley96 goes off with its new owner Gareth from Sterwardsby sailing club

well an early start to meet Gareth by 8am at Bala  set off 0545 in the pitch black and nothing was on the road so i cracked on and got to bala around 0710.

had a bite to eat and then got everything ready for when Gareth arrived.

with a quick inspection and chat we did the deed and proceeded to load the boat up.

was sad to see it go but with how things happened it wasnt destined to be my boat , perhaps it was telling me something . Gareth is going to fix it himself and post me some progress pics of the mend

with that we said our farewell and i headed home for a rest from all the driving in the last few days.

first rig at home

after a feeble attempt to rig the boat myself i had to call David Valentine to ask what rope went where

pictures were not enough so we had to go to a vid call which did the trick.

after 20 mins it was all sorted. after the call it promptly threw it down with rain and i got soaked.

about an hour later i went out and put it all away.

the long trip started at 0630 heading to Aberystwyth and then main a44 all the way to Rydar and then onto Hereford, the trip was good and we made good time in the van.

we arrived at the club at 0940 so made some good time on the planned 1000 meetup

Tewksbury is a lovely sc on the river severn

THE RETURN TRIP

not having set up the satnav we went a completely different way home via M50 then eventually Abergavenny and then Brecon , with stops got home 1425  so pretty good going in some horrible wet conditions.
